Why choose Keyman

Keyman vs the Lincoln dealer

The dealer charges a premium, usually wants the car towed in, and can take days to fit you in. I come to you and get you back on the road the same day — and usually for a lot less.

Which key does your Lincoln use?

The right key for your Lincoln depends on its model and year — here are the three types you'll run into, and which years use what. I cut and program all of them on-site.

Transponder chip key

Most Lincolns from the late 1990s to the mid-2010s. A cut metal key with a chip the car must recognize to start. I cut and program it on-site.

Remote head / flip key

Key with integrated lock/unlock buttons — common on many Lincoln models in the 2010s.

Push-to-start smart key

Keyless proximity fob — you keep it in your pocket and start with a button. Standard on most newer Lincolns. I supply and program these too.

Lincoln key system by year

Years (approx.)Key systemWhat it means

2006–2011PATS (80-bit)Encrypted key
~2011 → 2026*Intelligent Access smart keyKeyless proximity fob

Lincoln is Ford's luxury brand and uses the Ford PATS engine immobilizer. Early models use a transponder key, later ones 80-bit encrypted chips, and Intelligent Access models use a push-to-start smart key. I cut and program all of them on-site with dealer-grade equipment.

Not sure what your Lincoln uses? Text me the year and model — I'll tell you.

Lincoln shares the Ford PATS immobilizer, so I cut and program Ford keys and push-to-start smart keys on-site as well. Same mobile service, same day, almost always cheaper than the dealer.

How it works

How Lincoln key replacement works

From your call to a working key — usually same-day.

1

Tell me your Lincoln

Call or text your year, model and key type — I give a firm price up front.

2

I come to you

Home, work or a parking lot anywhere in the Sarasota–Tampa Bay area. No tow.

3

Cut & program on-site

I cut the key and program it to your Lincoln's immobilizer with dealer-grade gear.

4

Test & warranty

We test it together — it starts and works before I leave. 90-day warranty.

Before I arrive

What to have ready

I verify ownership before making a key — it protects you and your vehicle. Please have:

  • Your photo ID
  • Vehicle registration or title
  • Your Lincoln's year, model & VIN (if handy)
  • The vehicle at the location — I program at the car
Save money

How to save on a Lincoln key

  • Cut a spare while you still have a working key. A backup now costs a fraction of an all-keys-lost job later.
  • Ask about aftermarket. For most Lincolns a quality aftermarket key works like OEM for less — I'll tell you which is the better value for your car.
  • Skip the tow. I come to you and program at the car, so you don't pay to tow it to the dealer.
  • Have your year, model and VIN ready. It lets me give a firm price up front — no surprises.
  • Try the battery first. A dead fob is often just a cheap battery, not a new key — ask me before replacing it.

Lincoln key replacement — FAQ

How much does a Lincoln key cost?

It depends on the key type: a transponder chip key is typically $110–$190, a push-to-start smart key $220–$380. It's almost always less than the dealer. Text your year and model to (941) 323-6556 for a firm quote.

Can you make a Lincoln key if I've lost all my keys?

Yes — even all-keys-lost. I make and program a brand-new key on-site, no tow to the dealer. It takes a little longer than a spare, and I quote it up front.

Can you program a Lincoln push-to-start smart key?

Yes. I supply and program keyless proximity smart keys for most push-to-start Lincolns, right at your location.

How long does a Lincoln key take?

Most jobs are done in 20–45 minutes once I arrive, depending on the model and key type.

Which Lincoln models do you cover?

Most Lincoln models from 1998 to 2026 — see the models table above, and if you don't see yours just text me the year and model.

Is an aftermarket Lincoln key as good as OEM?

For most Lincolns a quality aftermarket key works exactly like OEM and costs less. I carry both and tell you straight which is the better value for your car.

Do you come to me?

Yes — I'm fully mobile. I come to your home, work or wherever your Lincoln is across the service area. No tow.

How soon can you come out?

Usually same day — often within a few hours. Call or text (941) 323-6556 and I'll give you a real ETA.

Is it cheaper than the Lincoln dealer?

Almost always — and I come to you, so there's no tow and no waiting days for an appointment.

Can you clone a Lincoln key?

Some older transponder models can be cloned from a working key, which is quick and cheap. Smart keys and all-keys-lost jobs have to be programmed to the car instead. Tell me your year and model and I'll say which applies.

How many Lincoln keys should I have?

I recommend at least two. Programming a second key on the same visit costs far less than a full all-keys-lost job if you ever lose your only one.

Do you make keys for Lincoln hybrids and EVs?

Yes — Lincoln hybrids and EVs use a push-to-start smart key that I supply and program on-site, no dealer trip needed.

What do you need from me to make a key?

Photo ID and proof of ownership (registration or title), plus the vehicle at the location — I verify ownership and program at the car.
